Language Mindset: Online classes for kids!

🚩 3 Things That Look Like Learning (But Aren’t)

Six years ago, I stopped doing the very things I’m about to share.

Back then, I was teaching the “traditional” way — workbooks, grammar drills, me talking more than the kids. And parents were happy because their child was busy. But deep down, I knew: busy wasn’t the same as speaking.

That’s when I changed everything. And here are the 3 red flags I vowed never to repeat and now train my teachers to do the same!

🚩 Red Flag #1: Busy work disguised as learning.
Worksheets, tracing, or endless flashcards can look neat, but when you ask a child to use the words in a real conversation — silence. Being busy doesn’t mean they’re actually speaking.

🚩 Red Flag #2: Grammar overload.
Focusing too much on rules, charts, or stroke order can leave kids memorizing without confidence. Grammar is important, but only when it helps them actually communicate. Sprinkle it in as a tool, not a chore.

🚩 Red Flag #3: The teacher-as-jester.
If the teacher is doing all the talking, explaining, and performing, the child ends up watching instead of speaking. Flip the balance: kids do the talking, teachers guide. That’s when real language sticks.

🌟 Our classes today look very different.

  • 30 minutes of playful, student-driven practice
  • Teachers who model, then step aside so kids can try, stumble, laugh, and grow
  • Siblings learning together, and options for 1x, 2x, or 3x a week

The result? Kids who actually use their new language — whether it’s Spanish, French, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, German, Korean, or American English — instead of just memorizing it.

👉 Six years ago, I changed how I teach and formed a school with amazing teachers around it!

Today, hundreds of kids are speaking with confidence because of it. If that’s what you want for your child, click the green button to apply for lessons.
