Grab your Post-It & Try this!

Do you have post-it notes at home,Reader? I’m staring at a half-used stack of yellow ones right now.

Want to try a quick, fun activity to bring language learning into your daily life? All you need is post-its, a marker, and Google Translate. It’s free, simple, and completely customizable!

Here’s how to make it work: 🤖

1️⃣ Which language does your kiddo want to learn?
2️⃣ Pick three words or expressions in that language from Google Translate (scroll down for my suggestions!).
3️⃣ Write them on sticky notes and place them where they make sense.

Now, here’s where science meets fun: Your brain needs to see the word in context to remember it. Let me show you…

I’m learning Farsi right now because I’ll be seeing Persian friends in six weeks. One phrase I know I’ll need is: “Do you want some dates?”
Can you guess where my sticky note will go? Take a second…

If you guessed next to my jar of dates, you got it! And since I can’t read Farsi, I’ll write it phonetically so I can say it out loud when I see it.

You can do the same! Just Google “How do you say ‘Where is your jacket?’ in Spanish,” then stick the note next to your kiddo’s jacket.

🌟 Start small. Seeing the language daily builds the habit. In a couple of weeks, add more sticky notes!

Before I sign off for the weekend, I want to check in with you...
