Next week, I’ll walk back into my alma mater elementary school — but this time, not as a student.

Over 50 children are enrolled in the morning language program, and hearing the feedback from parents about previous programs has been eye-opening, Reader!!!

For years, these programs offered 8 weeks of Spanish or French and then started over again — leaving kids with exposure, but not progress. Parents told us they were tired of “starting from scratch” every few months.

They wanted something different: a program where children could actually move forward, gain confidence, and speak another language.

That vision is exactly what we do at Language Mindset. Our families don’t stop at colors and numbers; we don't spend time on that, it's incorporated in the daily flow.

They learn with us for years, building week by week, until their children can confidently carry on conversations in another language.

This year, my alma mater is adopting the curriculum I designed — the Salt, Pepper, and Sunny series. These are books I wrote specifically to immerse children in language.

Instead of isolated vocabulary lists or grammar drills, kids step into stories. Kindergarteners will enjoy short stories, 1st–2nd graders will explore comics, and 3rd–5th graders will dive into the chapter book The Word Thief.

By spring, ten-year-olds will have completed a full chapter book in Spanish or French and will be holding real conversations about it. A FULL CHAPTER BOOK!!

This is what true immersion looks like — kids using language from the start, not memorizing it in pieces.

And here’s the best part: while I teach in person, my team of talented language teachers works with families online using this same methodology!

We offer Spanish, French, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, and German for children ages 8–12. The same methods and the same progress, your kiddo feels confident because they are using it!

The same joy of watching kids truly come alive in another language. We are creating the foundations for forever fluent kids.
